Call for speakers has closed

Happy new fiscal year, Canada day, and end of call for speakers for CakeFest 2011!

Our call for speakers has officially closed, and while we kept the lines open a little longer to cover any timezone issues that may arise, and hopefully avoid some of the submission issues we came across last year.

The response we had was absolutely phenomenal. We can't thank the community enough for their immense support and energy during this years call for papers run. Due to the sheer volume of submissions, we are going to have to turn some speakers down, but this reaffirms our instincts about taking CakeFest to the United Kingdom. This year is set to make CakeFest 2010 (our biggest ever) look like a tea party.

We'll be done with selections mid-week this coming week, and anticipate posting the finalised schedule on the 6th July.
